The next three maps detail islands in the parts of the Grand River that run through Sections 8, 9, 28, and 33 of Portland Township; all of those surveys were completed in 1855.

Originally measured in 1839, the eastern township line and subdivision lines were resurveyed; the township line was completed in 1856 and the subdivision lines in 1857. The second map details an island located in a lake in Section 35 of Frost Township. The survey was completed in October 1922.
