RG 87-155 GLO Survey Maps, 1816-1860

A collection of survey maps of Danby Township in Ionia County, Michigan. The first survey map in this collection details all of Danby Township and was drawn in January 1830. The second and third maps detail islands in the portions of the Grand River that run through Danby Township. These surveys were completed in 1855.

The second map in this collection shows Orangeville Island located in Gun Lake in Section 5 of Orangeville Township. This survey was completed in December 1906. The final map in this collection is of Blackbird Island located in Gun Lake in Section 6 of Orangeville Township; this survey was finished in June 1955.
