Grand Traverse
A collection of survey maps of the majority of Walker Township and a portion of the City of Grand Rapids. The first survey map in this collection describes the land where the majority of Walker Township and a portion of the City of Grand Rapids are now located. The City of Grand Rapids is located in parts of Sections 12, 14, 22, 28, and 34 and all of Sections 13, 23, 24, 25, 26, 35 and 36. This survey was completed in April 1831. The second map details an island in the portion of the Grand River that runs through Section 25 of the general Walker Township map. This survey was completed in 1855. Note: Walker is now a city.
