Two Civil War soldiers, one in frame, seated in chair, pants are tinted green. Second image filed behind is head and shoulder pose of a different soldier. Emulsion is in very bad condition, peeling away from plate, written on facing side is "A.E. Roberts Kalamazoo, Michigan $1.00" Mat rectangular with leaf and flower papers, case plastic with an iron clad ship and on water, and a fort in background, both flying with "Stars Stripes" in very good condition, case by "Parsons" 1857.

Oval mat, gilt with scalloped corners made by Holmes, Booth and Hayden, Waterbury, Conn. Excellent condition, case is wood covered in green plush and leather, made to resemble a book, decorative painted metal corners, and silver clasp with etched desin, flap has been torn loose and stiched back in place, good condition.
