The first survey map in this collection details all of Kalamazoo Township, with the exception of an Indian reservation, and was drawn in January 1827. The second map is of the land where the Indian reservation was located. This survey was completed in June 1829. The third map details islands in the portion of the Kalamazoo River that runs through Kalamazoo Township; this survey was completed in 1850.
