Report of survey findings conducted each year to monitor ring-necked pheasants, including hunter cooperation survey (2016-2017), mail-carrier brood survey (2017-2018) and harvest survey (2010-2011).  

Divisions represented in this collection include the Archives of Michigan, Director's Office, Marketing and Outreach Division, Michigan History Center, Parks and Recreation Division, Public Information Office, Real Estate Division and Wildlife Division.

This collection consists of promotional films created by the Michigan Department of Conservation and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources from ca. 1949-1979. The films cover a variety of topics, including wildlife, plant life, lumber, reforestation, and fishing. Not all films have been digitized.

This accession contains materials pertaining to Native American treaty rights in regards to hunting, fishing and gathering. Materials include background information on legal cases (some concerning states other than Michigan), copies of treaties, some Department of Natural Resources subject files, resource management plans submitted to the State of Michigan by Native American bands, and files specifically pertaining to the legal case United States, Bay Mills, et. al. v. Michigan (In 1973 the United States of America, on behalf of the Bay Mills Indian Community, filed suit against the State of Michigan to interpret several 1800s federal treaties dealing with tribal commercial fishing on the Great Lakes.).
