Black and white photograph from souvenir folder of Big Rapids, published in approximately 1907, depicting the Mecosta County courthouse and grounds in Big Rapids, Michigan. The courthouse was built in 1886, following a two-year "courthouse tax" approved by voters. It was replaced in 1970.

Black and white postcard depicting the historic Bay City City Hall building. The building was constructed in 1897 by the local architecture firm Pratt and Koeppe. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The building was completely restored in 1980.

Color postcard from approximately 1908 depicting Calumet City Hall and Opera House on Sixth Street in Calumet, Michigan. The town hall was built in 1886, and in 1898, the opera house was added. The opera house opened on March 20, 1900, and drew prominent theater acts from across the nation. It is now the home of the Calumet Theatre. On the right, the building with the spire (actually a bell tower) is the Calumet Firehouse.

Black and white postcard from approximately 1907 of the Cheboygan County Courthouse in Cheboygan, Michigan. Construction began on the large stone and red brick courthouse in 1898, and it was completed in February, 1900 and cost $35,000. The clock tower featured a "Century Tower Clock," manufactured by Nels Johnson in Manistee, Michigan, named such as they were meant to last a hundred years. In 1969, a new courthouse was built on a different site, and the 1898 courthouse was sold to a paper company. The company razed the building and turned the lot into a parking lot in 1970.

The Galzier Stove Company closed in 1908, after which the clock tower and warehouse space was occupied by the Chelsea Stove Company and various companies thereafter.

The building housed the bank only until 1907, when it was closed due to the financial panic. It is currently the 14th District Courthouse. The building provided the company with 60,000 square feet of factory and warehouse space, and the clock tower doubled as a water tower. The Galzier Stove Company closed in 1908, and the space was occupied by the Chelsea Stove Company, and various companies thereafter.

The tower was built in 1928 on the site of College Hall, the first building in America built for the express purpose of scientific agriculture instruction. The tallest building in the image is the Dime Building, built in 1912. The Ford and Dime Buildings were designed by Daniel Burnham. The clock tower in the background on the right belongs to the old Federal Building and U.S. Post Office. Built in 1897, this building housed the post office, custom house, and U.S. courthouse. In 1931, the courts moved to the Theodore J. Levin building and the old Federal Building was demolished (save for the opulent courtroom, which was moved, piece by piece, to the new building).

The Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, erected in 1872 to commemorate Michigan soldiers' and sailors' who died in the Civil War, can be seen in the foreground on the left. On the right is the Ponchartrain Hotel. Built in 1907, the hotel quickly became a hub for financial dealings in the automotive industry and lavish galas. With only half the rooms having baths, the Ponchartrain Hotel quickly became obsolete, though, and was torn down in 1920, with the First National Building being built in its place. In the background is the old Wayne County Courthouse (now the Wayne County Building), built in 1897.
