The Michigan Army National Guard’s federal mission is to provide properly maintained and equipped units available for prompt mobilization for war, national emergency, or as otherwise needed. Their state mission is to provide trained and disciplined forces for domestic emergencies or as otherwise required by state law. The National Guard is a community-based force with many members working and serving where they live.
The Army National Guard Personnel Division provides human resources services for members of the Army National Guard.
