Biography or Historical Note: Alonzo O. Hunt of St. Johns, Michigan, was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the 23rd Michigan Infantry on Aug. 1, 1862 and was mustered in on Sept. 12, 1862. He resigned on Dec. 29, 1862.
