Biography or Historical Note: The Village of Dexter was founded in 1824 by Samuel Dexter. In 2014, the village became a city. The city is located within Scio and Webster Townships in Washtenaw County. Mill Creek and the Huron River form much of the western and northeastern boundaries.

Dexter City Clerk

Village and city clerks are responsible for maintaining the official record and minutes of each council meeting, including all acts of the council, such as motions and votes. The clerk also records a summary of comments made by members of the public, maintains copies of all minutes, resolutions, and ordinances, and make these available to the public.
