The county treasurer is the custodian of all county money and is responsible for investing funds and maintaining an adequate cash flow. The county treasurer also settles with township and city treasurers for taxes collected for the county and state, collects delinquent property taxes, pays county debts, certifies warranty deeds, and sells dog licenses.
