Color postcard from circa 1913-1915 of Campau Square (now Rosa Parks Circle) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On the right is the Pantlind Hotel, which opened in 1913 and is now the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. In the 1920s, the Pantlind Hotel was considered one of the nicest hotels in America.

Color postcard from circa 1938 showing the Grand Rapids Furniture Museum, housed in the Fulton Street mansion of T. Stewart White (a local lumber baron). Grand Rapids was known as "The Furniture City," as it was the first center of mass-production of furniture in North America. The museum opened in 1936 and operated until 1959. The collections were moved to the Grand Rapids Public Museum.

Black and white stereograph showing a view of a portion of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, with the Fountain Street Baptist Church in the background, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. St. Mark's, on Division and Pearl Streets, was opened in 1848, and still stands as the oldest public building in the city. The Baptist Church was completed and opened in 1877, but burned down in 1917.

Color postcard showing the Michigan Veterans Home (known at the time as the Old Soldier's Home) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Established by act of State Legislature, it catered to disabled soldiers and sailors. The first building was completed in 1886, and by 1889 more funds were appropriated for expansion, including the building of a hospital and space for a cemetary.

Built in 1881, when St. Adelbert finished the large basilica in 1913, the old church was moved via horse-drawn carts to Belmont, Michigan to serve the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish there. It was used until the late 1980s.
