Biography or Historical Note: Old Buckskin belonged to Lieutenant L. B. Baker from 1862-1888. Lieut. L.B. Baker enlisted in the Union Army in 1862, intending to serve in the 6th Iowa Cavalry. In 1865, he mustered out and rejoined the secret service.
