Color postcard from 1935 depicting a performace in the open air theatre at the House of David park. The House of David was a religious colony which flourished in Benton Harbor between 1906 and the 1920's. In the 1920's, it broke apart due to scandals and the death of the founder, only to be reorganized into two separate groups. The House of David operated a large amusement and zoo, as well as the "Springs of Eden Park" - depicted in this postcard and a popular vacation spot in the 1930's.

Color postcard from 1936 featuring a beach scene from Jean Klock Park in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The land the park sits on was purchased by J. N. and Carrie Klock in 1917 and deeded to Benton Harbor toused for bathing beach, park or other public purposes. The park was named in memory of the Klock's daughter, Jean.
