Biography or Historical Note: Balcom, Justus A. Allendale. Enlisted in company G, Twenty-first Infantry, Aug. 13, 1862, at Grand Haven, for 3 years, age 18. Mustered Sept. 3, 1862. Died of disease at Nashville, Tenn., Oct. 31, 1863. Buried in National Cemetery at Nashville, Tenn.
