Biography or Historical Note: Frederick E. and Cynthia Melissa Willard Bush were married in Portage, N.Y. on January 15, 1835. The couple had 5 children, Frederick Willard (1836-1915), Henry Eli (1838-1839), Henry Eli (1840-1862), Edwin Alvarez (1842-1864), and Sumner Orlando (1847-1921). Additional biographical information is available in the reading room of the Archives of Michigan.
