K-12 Databases, 1991-2002. The K-12 Database includes historical aggregate data on Achievement, Student Programs, Financing, Headcount, Staffing, Transportation, Food and Nutrition, FTE, and State-aid. Data was submitted by school districts, the Department of Treasury, and the Department of Education. Primary users of the K-12 Database are: K-12 schools; colleges and universities; researchers; state and federal legislators; local governments; the Department of Management and Budget; and the Department of Education. Standard output reports generated by various users included Headcount, Dropout Rates, Graduation Rates, Financial Data, and other ad hoc reports. The K-12 database contains data ranging from 1991 - 2002. Most functionality of this database was replaced by other databases maintained by CEPI and the Department of Education that collect item level data (students, staff, finances, etc.) rather than aggregate data. The databases were originally created using dBase software. A manifestation was created in the CSV file format which can be used with Microsoft Excel and other text reading software.
