A survey map of the bottom western third of South Branch Township in Crawford County, Michigan. The township lines were measured in 1838 and 1839; the southern boundary line and the subdivision lines were re-surveyed in 1852. Note: While the map cites John Brink as the only surveyor for the township lines, the field notes include Henry Brevoort Jr. and James H. Mullett as surveyors in the original 1839 survey. William Burt was the deputy surveyor in charge of the re-measurement of the southern township line in 1852.
