As a retired RN and in the At Risk age group I was feeling really helpless. Also at the beginning of the outbreak hospitals were not accepting masks. I am a sewer of Little Dresses for Africa and had lots of fabric and notions that I could easily turn into masks. Then on a Saturday feeling very low and sad and angry and frustrated knowing I would not last 5 minutes in a nursing position the news came that front line workers and hospitals also needed home made masks to use over their N95's to make them last longer. I jumped for joy. Finally I felt like I had a mission and could sew masks to support.
