Scope and Content: A collection of survey maps of Keene Township in Ionia County, Michigan. The first survey map in this collection details all of Keene Township. According to the map notes, the township lines and subdivision lines were drawn in 1837. The southern boundary line, however, was measured in 1826 and the eastern boundary line was measured in 1831. The second map details islands in the portion of the Flat River that runs through Keene Township. That survey was completed in 1856.
