Scope and Content: For years the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has recognized that it could not produce enough ring-necked pheasants (Phasianus colchicus) on state-owned lands in southern lower Michigan to satisfy hunters and non-consumptive users. Management biologists commissioned this survey to quantitatively assess the potential for management of pheasants on private lands.
